The future of Uptown Miami’s dining experience has gone global. Global fusion, that is.

Global fusion dishes are created by blending Italian, Asian, French, Spanish and Mediterranean cuisines together into one dish.

Miami’s upper-east side now gets a taste of one of the biggest raves in the culinary world at Michy’s, under the auspices of Chef Michelle Bernstein.

Bernstein is a well-known celebrity chef who has been a force to be reckoned with in the Miami culinary scene. Her passion for global-fusion aligns with the recent trend to go global due to the belief that it is a logical step to take a world of connoisseurs who have eaten just about everything from everywhere.

Michy’s has a menu that is ever changing, and as complex as the Miami cultural scene itself. Bernstein’s Latin upbringing, French training, Asian travels and taste for Italian, Spanish and Southern flavors has led to the creation of entrees such as braised pork bellies with chicharrones, chicken wing lollipops and Caribbean mollusk with a French twist. Her new Miami restaurant has a chic retro style, with vintage 1960’s furniture and festive orange crush adorned wall.

Now that the Internet has made it truly, one small world, it makes sense that people’s taste buds are changing too. People travel a lot more than they use to, and when they return home they bring back a longing to recreate the superb and interesting dishes on which they noshed on abroad. Global fusion is an eclectic mix of international cuisine that brings a whole new meaning to comfort food.

Miami’s Upper East Sides’ real estate is booming too with fusion style architecture with condos such as Kubik and Blue on Biscayne Bay, which combine a hint of art deco style blended together with a minimalist design. This trendy Miami area has come alive with many new restaurants and boutiques opening along Biscayne Blvd.

If you hunger for an around-the-world adventure derived from one dish, dine at Michy’s.
