"Hold on to Summer" with all your might Thursday,
October 5 from 5-10PM
If McCormick and Schmick’s has its way on October 5, summer, to contradict singer Richard Marx, won’t come and leave without a warning. In fact, the seafood restaurant hopes to help you remember that evening as an “endless summer night.” From 5-10PM on Thursday, October 5, McCormick and Schmick’s will host a “Hold on to the Summer” Patio Party at their Faneuil Hall venue. Beer maker Harpoon will host a Beer Garden, where some of Boston’s gallant and courageous firefighters will really put their courage to the test as “Celebrity Beer Pourers”. In addition, a raffle that evening will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Your $10 admission fee will include one drink token, good for one Harpoon UFO, Harpoon Octoberfest, or a Bacardi Mojito. In addition, you’ll have access to a free barbeque. For extra cost, you’ll also be able to order from a special menu of favorite items from McCormick and Schmick’s selections. Live music will abound as well. The sounds of Jimmy Cliff, The Beach Boys, Harry Belafonte, and similarly-themed artists will be covered by The Flounders. If you follow my infallible advice and “make the scene,” I strongly suggest that you show up early. The last Patio Party at McCormick and Schmick’s had a line that wound its way around Faneuil Hall – despite having one of the largest patio areas in all of Boston.
